Weather in New Brunswick

Hopewell Rocks - New Brunswick MotelsNew Brunswick flows through the four Canadian seasons like no other. Every season brings something new, new outdoor activities and culinary offerings, landscape changes and weather patterns. Whether you want to shred some of the best spring skiing conditions in Atlantic Canada or relax on a beach there is a season for you here.

Summer temperatures along the Fundy coast average at about 20 degrees Celsius (68 degrees Fahrenheit) at the peak of the day while inland temperatures are usually about 25 degrees Celsius (77 degrees Fahrenheit) or warmer. As summer winds down and fall begins to take hold New Brunswick is taken over by a transformation of color. Bright red and pumpkin-orange leaves paint the province as people from all around come to take in the scenery.

Autumn in New Brunswick is a photographer's paradise and the colors here are more magnificent than many others because of the great variety of trees and the abundance of the symbolic maple tree.

In the winter, the most snow falls in the north eastern part of the province where between 300 and 400 cm (118 in. to 158 in.) of the fluffy white stuff covers the ground throughout the season. Frequent winter storms also bring snow and rain into the interior of New Brunswick. Visit Environment Canada for up-to-date weather information.

Even in winter, New Brunswick thrives with a host of winter activities such as skiing and snowmobiling. Every turn features something new for travelers, and the locals of New Brunswick are more than happy to show you the way!
